Metal and Bronze Sculpture
One of the first classes I took becoming an art major was a beginning sculpture class with the great Matt Furmanski. After spending countless hours in Geology and Marine Biology books during my first four years of college, I knew switching majors this drastically would be quite challenging. After my first sculpture class I wanted to leave. I felt uninspired, the material felt unknown and all my young colleagues were dripping imagination from their pores. Then I learned how to weld and create bronze figures and never looked back or questioned any prior decisions. I am so thankful, for whatever reason,I kept moving forward to the next class level.
