A little about me
Thank you so much for stopping by! My name is Tara Lamb and I have been in the fitness industry for over 10 years. When I first began in the health and fitness industry in 2003, my main objective was to work with athletes, heavy weight lifters and individuals looking to improve overall health. As the fitness landscape has shifted over the years, so have the trends. My life changed when I was introduced to yoga and the power it gave me spiritually and physically. When I began Aloha Mind and Body Fitness in 2009, more than ever did I notice people zipping in and out of the latest fitness trends, concerned more with what everyone else was doing, and looking, rather than turning their gaze inward and working on the goals that would ground their minds and bodies. Yoga was not immune to this and in fact became a front runner in being "trendy". Today, western culture has turned it into the next 'Zumba' with more and more students losing the greater meaning behind this ancient practice. My goal is to reeducate and refocus people's attitudes toward health and fitness. I am also a painter, sculpture and photographer producing images that have a strong focus on the female form and the ocean. Yoga and art are two of my greatest methods for stress relief and connection to God. To learn more about my method and philosophy, click the link above! Namaste and aloha!
